Smooth Recorder

overview.

Smooth Recorder is a native macOS app for screen recordings and screenshots, built for demos and tutorials. Every click becomes a zoom, narration becomes word-by-word captions generated on your Mac, and screenshots get backgrounds, annotations and redaction. It's for makers and founders who want polished product videos without opening an editor.

what it does.

1. 01Auto-zoom on clicksEvery click becomes a smooth zoom, with 3D zoom angles and 9 tilt presets.
2. 02Edit by textDelete a word in the transcript and the video cuts with it; remove filler words in one click.
3. 03On-device captionsCaptions in 8 looks and 5 fonts, generated entirely on your Mac.
4. 04Six camera layoutsBubble, side-by-side or camera-only, switched in one click.
5. 05Smart RedactFinds faces, emails, phone numbers, cards, API keys and amounts, and covers them in one click.
6. 06One-key captureOption+1 for a screenshot, recording, GIF, scrolling capture or on-screen text (OCR).

the problem.

A clean product demo usually means recording, then hand-editing zooms, cursor moves, cuts and captions. Smooth Recorder applies all of that automatically, so the recording already looks edited when you hit stop.
